Lauren Foley Wenderoth is a registered dietitian whose passion lies in helping both adults and teens recover from eating disorders and disordered eating. In additional to volunteering with EDRS, Lauren works in the outpatient setting, with the private practice Healthy Living Nutritional Counseling and Consulting in Corte Madera. She is also part of Kaiser San Rafael’s outpatient eating disorder treatment team. Lauren previously worked for Alta Bates Center for Anorexia and Bulimia at Herrick, where she served as the dietitian for the adolescent inpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Prior to devoting her focus toward eating disorder treatment, Lauren worked as a consulting dietitian for Apple, Inc. at the company's employee wellness center in Cupertino.
Lauren is a graduate of the University of New Mexico's Nutrition & Dietetics program, where she received the honor of Dietetic Intern of the Year for the state of New Mexico. Prior to studying nutrition, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology.
Through a non-diet, intuitive eating approach, Lauren helps her clients build mindful and sustainable eating habits that nourish the body without deprivation. When working with families, she empowers caregivers with the confidence and concrete meal-time skills needed to help their loved one through the process of nutritional restoration and recovery from an eating disorder. When not working, Lauren enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and cooking with her family.
