Lindsey Wert, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Petaluma, CA. Her specialties include eating disorders, trauma, sexual abuse, incest, anxiety disorders, depth work, Eye Movement-Desensitization Reprocessing and Lyme disease. Lindsey has been working in the field of eating disorders and prevention for over 15 years and is passionate about personal transformation, feminine issues, gay and lesbian rights, death.soul based work and social justice. Lindsey works with adults, children, adolescents, veterans and runs groups. In her spare time, she enjoys art, movement, time with friends, equine therapy, and work with animals. In 2007, Lindsey was awarded the first Love Warrior Award for her one woman show Inside Out. This story was told from different characters, parts of self, on the road to recovery from incest, self-injury, and eating disorders. It supported many in their recovery journey. Since then, Lindsey has supported and volunteered for EDRS on many levels to support their mission including her leadership role with volunteers, fundraising and advertisement. Lindsey enjoys building community and supporting foundation for others to build time in for sacred ritual and rites of passage that lack in our Western Culture. Lindsey believes that celebration of a person and rites of passage are fundamental in any type of recovery. EDRS in its first initial years supported Lindsey through their scholarship fund afford treatment and full recover from her eating disorder.
